I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
Philippians 1:3-6
The Christian life does not begin at maturity. Scripture repeatedly reminds us that the Christian walk is a growth process:
… grow in grace … - 2nd Peter 3:18
You must crave pure spiritual milk so that you can grow into the fullness of your salvation. Cry out for this nourishment as a baby cries for milk… - 1st Peter 2:2
Study to show thyself approved… - 2nd Timothy 2:15
… let us go on unto perfection… - Hebrews 6:1
To grow physically requires daily nourishment. The same is true for growth in the Christian life. Feast daily on the bread of life … the Word of God.
“In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and he was God.” –John 1:1
