SUPREME GOOD

Revelation 1:8
Holy Bible. New Living Translation copyright © 1996, 2004 by Tyndale Charitable Trust.

8 “I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”

In Revelation 22:13, Jesus Christ used the same words, Alpha and Omega, to refer to himself. Nothing and no one preceded Him or will follow Him. He is infinite, almighty, unchanging. He is the ultimate reality.

Summum bonum (Latin for the highest good) is an expression used in philosophy, to describe the ultimate importance, the singular and most ultimate end which human beings ought to pursue. The summum bonum is generally thought of as being an end in itself, and at the same time containing all other goods. In Christian philosophy, the highest good is usually defined as the life of the righteous, the life led in Communion with God and according to God's precepts. (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

The supreme good of humanity is to know and be known by the One who is the ultimate reality. This must be the believers priority.
