Sin’s Power Is Broken
1 Well then, should we keep on sinning so that God can show us more and more of his wonderful grace? 2 Of course not! Since we have died to sin, how can we continue to live in it? 3 Or have you forgotten that when we were joined with Christ Jesus in baptism, we joined him in his death? 4 For we died and were buried with Christ by baptism. And just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glorious power of the Father, now we also may live new lives.
The walk of a believer is different than that of a unbeliever. They don’t frequent the same places they did before they came to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
The talk of a believer is different than that of a unbeliever. They don’t allow those ‘four-letter’ words they used to say dominate their vocabulary.
The ways of a believer are different than that of a unbeliever. They give up gossip, backbiting, bad habits, greed, vengeance and being unforgiving.
This is not meant to be a complete list of the differences … just a few thought provoking items. Has the Holy Spirit, just this moment, spoken to your spirit about a new way you need to live? More giving … more loving … more caring. Whatever He speaks, listen and agree by faith to change to the new way.
