CREATION AND SCRIPTURE

Psalm 19:1-2, 7-8

For the choir director: A psalm of David.

1 The heavens proclaim the glory of God.
The skies display his craftsmanship.
2 Day after day they continue to speak;
night after night they make him known.

7 The instructions of the Lord are perfect,
reviving the soul.
The decrees of the Lord are trustworthy,
making wise the simple.
8 The commandments of the Lord are right,
bringing joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are clear,
giving insight for living.

No one has an excuse. God has revealed Himself to all His creatures through His creation. The existence of the creator is obvious to all who have eyes to see, ears to hear, any of the senses to experience what God has done in creation.

God goes further to communicate Himself to us through His breathed Word. What we have in the scriptures is what God gave to godly men. His Word speaks His truth … His love.

And yet still … Gods greatest communication to us … greater than nature … greater than scripture … is His living Word … His Son, Jesus Christ!
