23 “So if you are presenting a sacrifice at the altar in the Temple and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you, 24 leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God.
Jesus counsels us to quickly resolve conflicts. We are not only not to let the sun go down on our anger, we are not to let a disagreement with a brother or sister interfere with our worship.
Not weeks … not days … but hours. Assuming that our worship is a daily practice, our reconciliation should come within hours of the conflict. That is peace that sets you free to worship unrestrained.
