IN ALL THINGS

May the glory of the LORD last forever! The LORD rejoices in all he has made!
The earth trembles at his glance; the mountains burst into flame at his touch.
I will sing to the LORD as long as I live. I will praise my God to my last breath!
May he be pleased by all these thoughts about him, for I rejoice in the LORD.

Psalm 104:31-34

Youth for Christ - 10/13/06

You may have heard the quote, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” When we praise God in all our circumstances that is exactly what we accomplish.

You can choose to focus on the circumstance … the sickness … the pain … the grief … the loss … the tragedy … or you can choose to focus on the One who is the Deliverer in all circumstances. When you focus on Christ, your spirit will be lifted. When you focus on Christ, He helps you bear your burden. When you focus on Christ and that fact that there is nothing too hard for God, the situation becomes sweeter. God’s Word is described by the psalmist as being “sweeter than honey, than honey from the comb” (Psalm 19:10).

When you add praise to God in all things, it is no artificial sweetener (Sweet & Low, etc.). He makes great lemonade!
