THE BIBLE

But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God’s way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do.

2nd Timothy 3:14-17

What is your belief about the Holy Bible?

For hundreds of years and still today there is debate about the authenticity of the scriptures. Even among theologians, discussion rages as to the way we should interpret what we have. Are these just nice stories or should we take the Bible literally as God’s Word?

Scripture says about itself that God is the source. It is God-breathed! Scripture also says about itself that we should not doubt it but rather believe its truths. You can participate with all the debaters and doubters if you like. You can study with all the scientist and archeologist (who have only been able to confirm what scripture says is true … who have nothing to disprove any of scripture). Or you can accept and believe by faith.

It is the Bible that gives “you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.”
