In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God, and he was God. He was in the beginning with God. He created everything there is. Nothing exists that he didn’t make. Life itself was in him, and this life gives light to everyone. The light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.
John 1:1-5
The world we live in is filled with darkness and we face it each and every day. When we believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, the believer is filled with the Holy Spirit of God. Get this! The world is filled with darkness. The believer is filled with the Holy Spirit.
“…the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world.” – 1st John 4:4
The darkness that is in the world can never extinguish the light that is in you. Isn’t that Good News!
