GET YOUR PRAISE ON

Around midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening. Suddenly, there was a great earthquake, and the prison was shaken to its foundations. All the doors flew open, and the chains of every prisoner fell off!

Acts 16:25-25

There is no more perfect time to ‘get your praise on’ than when life gets tough. That’s what Paul and Silas were doing. They had been locked up because of their faith in Jesus Christ. When things were very dark surrounding them – the scripture says it was midnight – they decided it was time to ‘get their praise on’.

In the midnight of your circumstances, I recommend Paul and Silas’s action plan. They began to pray and sing hymns to God. The next time things get really tough, ‘get your praise on’. Try having a praise party instead of a pity party, expecting the LORD to open doors for you … to unchain you from your tough situation.
