But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to his own way; and the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

The Old Testament prophet Isaiah, hundreds of years before Jesus Christ came, described what makes this Friday in the Christian church good. If there was no crucifixion we would each still owe a sin debt which we could never pay. Instead God sent His Son to pay that penalty for us and that is very good.
Even better is Easter Sunday morning … the tomb found empty … the grave clothes folded and laid to the side … the angels pronouncement.
“He (Jesus) isn’t here. He has risen from the dead.” – Luke 24:6
