OUR GOD REIGNS

The LORD is like a father to his children, tender and compassionate to those who fear him. For he understands how weak we are; he knows we are only dust. Our days on earth are like grass; like wildflowers, we bloom and die. The wind blows, and we are gone— as though we had never been here. But the love of the LORD remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children of those who are faithful to his covenant, of those who obey his commandments! The LORD has made the heavens his throne; from there he rules over everything.

Psalm 103:13-19

From our beginning as a small child to our end, whenever that may be, God is in control of the circumstances of our lives. Whether we are in a season of blessing or a season of testing and trial, God is ruling over everything. He knows how much of a blessing we need just as He knows how great a burden we can bear. In both the blessing and the trial, we must love Him … trust Him … remember that from His throne in heaven, He continues to reign.

How lovely on the mountains are the feet of Him
who brings good news, good news.
Announcing peace, proclaiming news of happiness,
Our God reigns, our God reigns!
