A FAIR TRIAL

This suffering is all part of what God has called you to. Christ, who suffered for you, is your example. Follow in his steps. He never sinned, and he never deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when he was insulted. When he suffered, he did not threaten to get even. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly.

Our legal system is filled with judges who make every effort to fill their responsibilities with fairness, equity and justice. However, because they are human, this does not always happen. Because they deal with human defendants, lawyers, prosecutors and juries, the final outcome may seem less than fair to someone involved.

When we leave our “case in the hands of God”, we can be sure that the judgment will be fair because God knows all things and only truth and justice will be part of His decision. When we stand before the judgment seat of Christ (and we all will one day), we can count on a fair trial. You have the opportunity to determine the outcome of that trail. Are you living with the judgment seat in mind?
