THE BLOOD

So Christ has now become the High Priest over all the good things that have come. He has entered that great, perfect sanctuary in heaven, not made by human hands and not part of this created world. Once for all time he took blood into that Most Holy Place, but not the blood of goats and calves. He took his own blood, and with it he secured our salvation forever…Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins.

Yesterday I made the statement that our sins, no matter how big or little, are not beyond the reach of God’s grace. That is because of the finished work of Christ at Calvary. That is where “He took his own blood, and with it he secured our salvation forever.”

Jesus Christ shed blood to pay the penalty for our sin. Through His blood we can have our sins forgiven. Grace is amazing!
