Youth for Christ - 03/31/06

The Afghan Christian convert, Abdul Rahman, could have remained underground – a secret Christian. Doing so, he could have avoided jail, publicity and condemnation from his family and friends. He could have avoided having to flee his country to exile in Italy.

The Bible tells believers to not “hide your light under a basket” … to not be “ashamed of this Good News about Christ.” Abdul Rahman had a choice. Hide or follow God’s Word. By faith, he chose to be obedient to the Word.

Pray for Christian around the world who are not free to publicly proclaim their faith in Jesus Christ. Praise God for your freedom and let your light shine. Never be ashamed of what Jesus Christ did for you on Calvary’s Cross.
