REMAINING FAITHFUL

Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this evil judge. Even he rendered a just decision in the end, so don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who plead with him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when I, the Son of Man, return, how many will I find who have faith?”

Luke 18:6-8

My Utmost for His Highest - 09/12/06

Are you ever challenged in your faith walk? Do you ever feel like the boxer you has gone several rounds in the fight, winning some rounds but losing more, sustained a cut that the trainer can’t control the bleeding … ready to throw in the towel?

God has not promised us that every day will be a bed of roses. Despite what prosperity preachers tell you, we are not guarantee the abundant life always. Instead what God says is that we must endure trials (1st Peter 1:6).

In today’s scripture, Jesus asks the question, “… how many will I find who have faith?”  When Jesus comes back, and He is coming soon, how many believers will He find who have remained faithful in spite of the trial and tribulations of life?
